God's Vessel

Today was a rainy, exhausting day for me, and I actually over snoozed. Once the rain stopped, I went out to meet with some of my brothers and sisters in the streets. You recognize the ones that are so fatigued and can’t seem to find their way.

The individuals that are just hoping for a friendly conversation, someone who would remind them they are still a part of God’s plan. All day they are praying for something to eat and drink, a place to lay their head and someone to say hello in place of everything else that weighs heavily on their heads.

I feel their pain and suffer with them, feeling the distress as I watch others shun and ignore the cries that are pouring out. It is my great pleasure to be that someone that others need. To be God’s vessel and mostly to follow the instructions of our King.

Above all things “love!”

Matthew 25:34-40

“Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, my Father has blessed you! Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.

I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat.

I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink.

I was a stranger, and you took me into your home.

I needed clothes, and you gave me something to wear.

I was in prison, and you visited me.’

“Then the people who have God’s approval will reply to him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you or see you thirsty and give you something to drink?

When did we see you as a stranger and take you into our homes or see you in need of clothes and give you something to wear?

When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

“The king will answer them, ‘I can guarantee this truth: Whatever you did for one of my brothers or sisters, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did for me.’

I heard that Jesus is standing right next to those in needs waiting for us to follow the commandments to love.
