are Elephants Important?
Elephants are among the most intelligent of the creatures with whom we share the planet, with complex consciousnesses that are capable of powerful emotions. Across Africa, they have inspired respect from the people that share the landscape with them, giving them a strong cultural significance.
Just as individuals without walls:
Humans are the most knowledgeable being that share the globe with one another. We rely on one another to help us build bridges to get through hard times together. Social forces such as addictions, family breakdown, and mental illness are compounded by structural forces such as lack of low-cost housing, poor economic conditions, and insufficient mental health services. Because we inspire to stand in the gap, we make the great things important again.
Elephants can recognize themselves in the mirror. They are the only animals with self-awareness. And Everything about the elephant represents loyalty. Their trait is common to independently developed animals with large, complex brains, complex social lives, and known capacities for empathy and humanity.
Silent Rescue brings consciousness that is saturated with compassion and grace amongst the people. So that we can understand our friends as we pass by our forgotten people. There are so many ways lives get trapped into homelessness, and most people don’t understand it. “When they are cornered, they are really, really captured.” Until our community come together and acknowledges the elephant in the room. (That huge issue that we tiptoe around). Life happens, and that is why we are standing in the gap.
